The best way to move on is to stop having contact, so that you can really separate and feel single again. Remaining friends and keeping in touch is not a good idea.
Next, you need to put your energy into yourself. Give yourself a makeover, start exercising, eat well, pick up the hobby or the sport you’ve always wanted, and get out of the house and do things with friends and family. Get yourself a haircut, a mani/pedi and clean out your closet — a symbol of moving on (out with the old, making room for the new!).
