I am hurting really bad right now and I’m really confused. My boyfriend and me have been dating for four months, and whenever we do not get to hangout we text all day straight , well i am on vacation right now and i asked my bf if we could not text just for a day so that i could spend some time with my family and not be glued to my phone all day. Well we didn’t talk all day today and now he is saying that he thinks that we should take a break for a month or just break up and be friends. The part that really confuses me is that just yesterday he was saying how much he cared about me and how much he missed me and couldn’t wait until i got back , and today he just doesn’t want to have anything to do with me. what do i do?

You need to understand that your boyfriend is acting out when he says that he suddenly wants to break up right after you ask for a day of not texting. He didn’t get what he wanted, so he’s punishing you. It’s not very mature, and you didn’t ask for too much in requesting one vacation day away from the phone. 😕 Since you’ve only been dating for four months, this is one way you’re getting to know who he is and how he behaves. Rather than be disappointed in his behavior or try to fix the problem, do nothing.

Ignore his decision to break up and instead take your one day off from texting. I bet he will get over his temper tantrum of sorts, apologize and pick up where you left off.
