You can’t always get what you want — and it’s not just the Rolling Stones who believe that. I do, too! 😆 Relationships work because of mutual goals and shared respect. While working a summer camp job is something you’ve always wanted to do, and now have the opportunity to do so, your boyfriend isn’t willing to compromise so that you get what you want.
Don’t give up your summer job dream because he is giving you an ultimatum. If this is the best he can do for you, you can do better in the boyfriend department.
I’m sorry that it’s not what you want to hear, but as you get older you’ll understand, as you are now, that life is full of decisions that shape who you are and where you wind up next. Make the right choice and take the job. You’ll meet lots of great guys at camp. I promise! 🙂
