I have been with this guy for months. It started out as FWB, and moved into something more personal (at least with me it did). It took him a while to admit to anything romantic with me. He finally told me he does like me, but he doesn’t want a relationship because he’s worried about my ex. (him and I were together for 3 years and haven’t been broken up for a year yet). I want to know if this is a line to just keep me around. It does seem like he wants to be with me but is too afraid to do anything about it. He asked me to be exclusive FWB with him. He gets jealous when other things happen. To me it feels like we already have a relationship. We only date each other, we only (used to) have sex with each other. I say used to because I told him I don’t like the idea of no relationship w/ sex first. It should be relationship then sex. He said he was fine with all this. But he still isn’t ready. What does all this mean? When will he be ready? Should I wait? I have all these questions that I don’t want to ask him because I don’t want him to have all the power, plus I don’t want to seem desperate, I just want answers.
