really confused dont know what to do or say help please!

I’m confused because just recently my ex told me he missed me & still loves me we have been split up for 8 months we were together 4 years we also have a child together we were having problems when we were together before I had trust problems with him because he cheated on me 1 time. We were only together 7 months when I got pregnant & I know that isn’t a long time to be with someone & have a baby but after he cheated on me I couldn’t trust him at all & that caused a lot of fights with us & the way I acted towards him was wrong but now he says he wants to be friends & us hang out & see how things go from there he tells me he loves me & has kissed me we haven’t done anything together since we broke up 8 months ago but also he just got out of a relationship & I’m not sure about how he is dealin with that they were only together like 4 months. I just don’t know how to take all of this should I wait & see what happens & I don’t know what to say to him to show him I want us to work & not fight anymore I just don’t want to be waiting & then he changes his mind please help

If he cheated on you once,people might think that he always do like this.But sometimes people make mistakes,if he is saying that he wants you back,just give him a chance . If you really don’ t trust him ,don’t fall in this at a rapid pace,take your time,try to know him once again and slowly let him enter in your life again.
