As far as I understand all this , he don’t want to change himself and you don’t like those things then there is no way thinking that what you would do . And even you don’t think the same way he thinks about you , I mean love from your side and he had a lair kind of past too ,how can you trust this person . I think you should tell him at the first place to stop all that non-sense then only you would consider anything .

Dear Cia , I don’t think that you should follow him as he already told you that he do not like you now and have no feelings for you . If you still try to catch him up , he would definitely think that you are crazy about him . Just move on from this relation . I know it would be difficult but in this world we don’t get everything we want . Engage yourself socially , this would help you to forget him .

I just don’t understand that why you are thinking like stop seeing him more .There may be a chemistry between both of you . Try to expand your talks to him . As long as both of you talk it would become good for your relation .I saw in many cases that talking plays an important role in these relationships .
My suggestion to you is to talk to him and when both of you understand mutually then say your feelings to him ,I think he will understand .And you will become a pair soon .

It is natural that if these things happen then you would like or dislike someone . There are chances that what she is saying would be true that she just likes you as a friend ,maybe she would be playing mind game . But as she cleared that you are just a friend of her and I think she just mean it , because as you already said that she is dating someone else . Don’t think anything like this that she would love you .
Or the other way is to clear all this off just ask her straight forward that what she thinks about you . No other way is better than this .All the Best.
