She didn’t have the maturity or bravery to reject you straight out. A lot of people don’t. Plus, they don’t want to hurt the person they’re rejecting so they do things to avoid it.

Yes! And the best way to test that is to try it. You don’t have a lot to lose if you talk to her again. I think you should.

No. If she really was rejecting you, as opposed to a miscommunication, you don’t need to know why. You don’t have a history with her, so “no” should be enough. Not everyone is everyone else’s cup of tea, and rather than press the issue, just move on. 😉
