It sounds like he’s broken up with you — quietly! It’s not normal for a guy to date you for a year and then pull away and not see you regularly unless he’s doing it on purpose. Relationships usually build or maintain a happy level of communication and intimacy (with ups and downs within them). This sounds like the relationship is fizzling out.

It’s fair for you to ask him if he’s moved on — if that will help you, but the reality is behavior speaks louder than words, and his behavior is shouting that it’s over. I’m sorry, but I’d hate to see you waste any more time on a guy who isn’t into you after a year of dating. I think it’s time to move on, yourself.
