Often times after a break up, one of two things happen when one person wants to get back together. Either we panic and go crazy trying to figure out what to do, or we sulk and lose all hope. The best thing to do is to keep a calm and clear mind…. Easier said than done, I know.
So, when faced with a situation where your guy or gal breaks up with you and you really want them back, the first thing you should do is AGREE WITH THE BREAK UP… Whoa!? Are you serious… lol Let me explain why this is so important… By accepting what has happened and agreeing that a break from each other is a good idea, you are able to move past that point where you can easily get stuck, thus thinking more rationally in the process. You don’t have to like what has happened, just accept it.
So, no we are not going crazy, we are not freaking out, but instead are at a point where we can come up with a plan of action. While some time apart can be good, you don;t want to let that go too long. You want to eliminate any opportunity of someone else moving in on your ex. So, it would be appropriate to make contact with your ex somehow. If you are on talking terms, great! Give him or her a call and chat as friends. Keep the lines of communication open, but do not come off as desperate.
If you are not on talking terms, a handwritten letter can really break through those barriers. But, remember to stay positive and keep the letter short and sweet.
Ok, now that you are in contact with your ex, it is important not to move too fast…. Baby steps are best. You might not want to go on a date again right away or spend the night on your first meeting… This is a good opportunity for you to get to know each other again and really strengthen your relationship. Instead, maybe a cup of coffee? Or even just going for a walk in the park and chatting a bit…
The three important steps:
1)Calm your mind – Agree to the break up
2)Communication – Keep the lines of communication open somehow
3)Baby steps – Don’t move too fast, take your time to ensure a strong relationship
Thanks for allowing me to share!
I hope this can help you overcome a break up!
Talk to you later,
