Hi April, long time reader first time poster (your stuff is great!).. Anyways here’s my situation:

I’ve went through a coffee shop drive-thru twice in the past 3 days, and both times a gorgeous girl has been working. She started up a conversation with me the first time and was smiling the whole time. The second time I went she recognized me and we started talking again, this time a little more about each other (what we’re taking in college, etc). There’s a chance that she’s just extremely friendly, but I noticed that she never talked to the person in front of me, she closed the window after they paid and just waited until their drink was ready.

How should I go about getting her number (or giving her mine). I think since she’s working it’d be better if I gave her my number. Should I just hand it to her after she gives me my coffee, or should I do it in a sneaky/surprise way like handing it to her along with my money or debit card?

    Thanks in advance! 😀

Don’t give her your number — ask her for hers. It’s much more chivalrous.

I know you don’t want to interfere with her work by making her write down her number for you, but let her handle that problem. She can decide to take the time to give it to you, or ask you to come back after her shift is over.

It sounds like she likes you, will be happy to give you her number, and that you’ll have a great first date! 🙂
