My SO of almost 2 yrs and i disagree on a fwb topic that is causing big problems in our relationship. She had a long time fwb arrangement before we got together that she ended when we became a couple. We run into her ex lover now and then when we go out on the town. At times when i get up to get drinks or use the men’s room i will return to find him sitting with her talking. He only does this when i leave for a few minutes and she knows it tears me apart to see this but doesn’t think it should bother me so she stays there talking to him while i sit alone until i am ready to walk out rather than be ignored and hurt. I have asked her many times to stop doing this but she doesn’t want to hurt him even knowing how it kills me. We have talked about marraige but i can’t take this disregard for my feelings. I can’t imagine anybody would. Any advice?
I think you’ve hit a deal breaker. If your girlfriend of two years, and potential future wife, is protecting her ex-boyfriend instead of you, her allegiance is pretty clear. 😕 If I were you, I’d reconsider marriage to her. This isn’t someone who’s going to honor the “for better or for worse” clause in any vows.
