Hi April,

I run into this guy about 3-4 times a week and we both seem pretty interested in one another even though we haven’t spoken much. We make quick glances at each other here and there and he makes a effort to make eye contact with me. When he does, he gives me a genuine and warm smile. He is finally beginning to make more of an effort to get closer to me (entering conversations that I’m in with people) and going out of his way to say hi. Also, when he makes eye contact, he holds it longer than someone normally would and smiles a lot- I think this is a good sign? It’s almost as if once our eyes meet, he can’t look away- I always break eye contact first.

What can I do to keep him interested? I am a little shy around him, but not others (which I think he is beginning to realize). He sees me interact with a lot of other people and I’m incredibly out-going but with him, it is hard for me to look into his eyes for too long and act like my normal self around him. I don’t want my shyness to turn him off to me. I desperately want to keep him interested because he is definitely someone I want to have a shot with!

Flirting is a great way to get him more interested in you. Advance past eye contact and smiles. 😎 Throw him a compliment on something as simple as his tie or his dog or something that you can see he has or does. The idea is to be pleasant and alluring while opening conversation so he knows you’re interested. You can even flirt/joke with him about his following you around because you’ve noticed he’s been running into you several times a week! Anything to open up a conversation. 😀

I also forgot to mention that he uses my name a lot in conversation- is this a possible indicator that he is interested?
