Hey so this is kind of a classic case. I met this guy online and he messaged me and at first and up until about 2 weeks ago he’s been really enthusiastic. We’re taking it slow and are only friends at this point, so we don’t talk every day however for the last month we did talk at least once a week. Before me met for the first time (around December 26th) we went 3-4 weeks without talking but that was mostly my fault since I was busy with school. Anyway we were getting along great until the second ‘date’ on Friday the 13th. He drove an hour to visit and although we just stayed in to cuddle and watch a movie I thought it went great. But ever since then he doesn’t seem as interested. I texted him the Tuesday after and he didn’t seem as excited as he usually is to hear from me and then i texted him Thursday to tell him I got a position in a really nice lab group and instead of being happy he kind of stopped talking to me after 2-3 texts and later that night when I told him that since I was going to be around his area on Feb 3rd we should hang out, he blew me off with ‘I don’t know if I have work that day’. I haven’t texted him since b/c I’m waiting for him to text me but I’m wondering if I’m just overreacting or if he has just lost interest.
Things you might want to know: I’m 20, he’s turing 25 Feb 11th, we’ve been talking since October but we’ve only hung out twice since he lives an hour away and early in our friendship I was super busy with school, we haven’t talked about if we want to date each other but he has told me that he’s looking for a girl that’s in it for the long haul and wants to take it slow and has made some indications that he heading towards dating me and I’m fine with taking it slow as well. Finally he’s been single for 6 years since I’m guessing his last relationship didn’t turn out well.
Again am I overreacting or has this guy lost interest 😥
