I’m attracted to this girl in my college class, who I can’t seem to figure out. I have asked her to hang out several times and she would seem genuinely interested in coming with me. However, she would always cancel last minute. So, I got the hint and stopped asking her out. Couple weeks later, we ran into each other and had lunch and she started asking many personal questions about myself. With my guard still up, I didn’t ask her out but she ended up telling me to let her know what I was doing that weekend. So, I invited her to a party and she didn’t respond to my text. Several weeks later, we ended up talking and having lunch. Everything went smoothly and she told me to call her soon. Just recently, I found out she has a boyfriend through a friend of mines. She has never mentioned him, ever. Does she seem interested in me or just being nice? Should I just move on?

It sounds like you need some clarity, and the best way to get that is to be clear in YOUR intentions. If you ask her out on a real date — a movie or dinner or drinks — and make it clear that you’re asking her out on a date — you’re going to get an answer to the question you have. 🙂 She’ll either make it clear she wants to date you or not. I know rejection is scary to some people, but you’ll see that the risk is worth it, and the downside is really just momentary.
