I met this woman 2 years ago we got on great started dating and getting to no each other she told me she was pregnany but the father was not around i have been bringing him up for 17 months now everything was going good then i started work and she was meeting up with her ex and she lied to me till i finally got the truth she told me she did meet him but nothing happened so i kept things going a few month later we had a argument so i walked out really dont like arguing so i thought it was best thing i come back 2 hours later hoping things had cooled down but she was sat with some guy and told me to leave she dont want to be with me we kept in contact a little things was not that good she was with this other guy for like 2 month i was ready to cut of all contact with her and move on then i get a text from her saying shes pregnant and its my child and she loves me and wants to be with me.

She has just given birth and im still here with her but it still hurts me that she left me like that and went of with anoyher guy i dont think i can forgive her for that im not sure i even love her anymore and im confused to even if this child is mine the around the same time she concieved she was with this other guy a week after she says she is 100% tho

First thing to do is to get a paternity test. You have a right to know if the child she says is yours, is yours. If it’s not yours, your life is going to be very different than if it is, so do that right away. If she won’t consent, have a court order a paternity test. Yes, the process is arduous, but it’s less arduous than what will happen if you don’t know.

Once you get the results, it will be a lot easier to advise you.

Ok will do that thanks i have said that i want one as i no she had unprotected sex with this other guy she said the dates make the baby mine 100% she is probably right but cant blame me for having some doubt there as time she got pregnant is around the time she left me

i dont feel i can forgive her for doing that seems like im always going to be bitter and angry about it i would never want to hurt her like that just cant understand why she done it to me

If you are going to be a father, your life is going to change, so find out first, if you are. Get the paternity test, and then decide what kind of relationship you’re going to have with her — because if you are going to be parents together, it will be a different kind of relationship than if you’re not.
