It sounds like he’s possibly very shy, but he also may be doing a bit of playing. Whether or not he’s drunk-emailing or drunk-posting, he’s hiding behind the internet. 😕 The internet makes meeting women very easy. Meeting up in person is where you find out if a guy can walk the walk as well as talk the talk (or text the text). The fact that he’s limiting his contact to the internet makes me wonder if he’s not doing the same thing to you as to lots of other women at the same time, and if it’s not just some fun for him where he throws a lot of darts at the wall and sees what sticks.
Trust your instincts. They sound like good ones. You should flirt with him in real life, but I think the internet game he’s playing may have limited returns. Bottom line is that if a guy wants to ask you out on a date and take you out on a date, he will. The playing around with late night internet posts may just be a game for him.
