Recently bumped into a lovely woman again at a party (friend of a friend). Walked her through the city to her lift point after the party and parted ways. During the walk she let slip she is now single again after a 6 year relationship. At her lift point she kissed me and lifted one leg off the ground. Over the next few weeks been conversing on facebook and got her mobile number etc. Arranged a lunch date which was last Sunday and seemed to go well. So today I phoned her and left a message trying to setup a 2nd date. Just got this message from her via text which I suspect is her way of saying “Let’s just be friends”
Her message reads :- “just got your msg-busy day at office-haven’t had a chance to look at my phone! Just want to clarify that it’s purely friendship between us right? I’m seeing someone at the moment and I don’t want to lead you on in anyway-I think you’re lovely and fun to be around and the last thing I want to do is give you the wrong impression! I could be completely wrong and you don’t see me as anything more than a mate-just wanna make sure we’re on the same wavelength 🙂 “
Help what the hell does that mean? Is the above a LJBF line?
Anyway I have responded with the following reply :- “Hello N 🙂 just got ya txt, busy with stuff at home! I am so glad you said that! I’ve always thought you’d make a great friend, in fact and this may make you laugh I was kinda worried you were looking for something more! I didn’t want to pull out the let’s just be friend’s card on you, don’t like putting people in boxes like that! A (inital of my name) was like woah, of course were friends! Slow down! I’d only just met you again. 🙂 “
A little advice please, was N’s message a test and have I blown it with my reply. Am I seen as just a friend? Confused am I 🙂
