I have fallen in love with a guy wo has been my best friend for months, we were friends instantly however I was in a bad relationship which was abusive psychologically not physically, because this relationship has gone on for so long I am finding it hard to let it go. However my best friend said he loved me and we used to have the happiest times together, as my feeling became obvious my mental illness got worse so I did not speak to him for a few days. When I came back he had gotten a girlfriend however now I know that I love him and I don’t know what to do. He knows that I like someone who is in a relationship however he is not talking to me as much as he did before. Do I tell him or not?? Should I try and move on or is there still a chance for me? In the next few months he will be moving away so I may not see him again but I can’t let him go.

First things first. You need to break up with your abusive boyfriend. You shouldn’t be with anyone who is abusive — and that includes your boyfriend, so break up with him. Once you do that, you can focus on being single. Flirt with guys you’re interested in, including this other guy you like, and see if they ask you out. But don’t worry about one guy or another guy right now. The many thing you need to do is get healthy and stay in healthy situations. 😉
