    Dear April,
I ve read your advice to gobelindago about the feminism and I 100% agree with you . And I am blessed to have a boyfriend who makes sure he is the man: takes me on dates, holidays abroad, shopping sprees where I try on things and he buys them . . . We have a lot of fun with our shopping and he is very generous in his attitude and with his money. After the shopping I model for him . . . And then we go out and have fun . . . And he pays for that too.
Sometimes, when I am financially comfortable I like to buy things for him and believe me I feel very good to do that. And then he models for me and we go places and have fun or do some serious work. Anyway, most of the cases he wants to buy things for me.
Since all these years he is the one who took me all over the world and paid for it with grace and generous attitude I am planning to treat him to a Pleasure trip . It would make me feel very good but my question is dear April what is this going to make him feel ? Is it a smart approach ? Is it going to come across as if I am trying to seduce him ? Which in part would be true . . . Maybe not really . . . My motive is that I would love to treat him and make him special as he makes me feel, but would I in this case be trying to be the man ? Which in fact I am not trying to , just want to treat him !
He recently paid for a medical intervention , I did not ask him , he offered .
So what do you think about this ?
Your advice would be much appreciated and looking forward to read from you.

Instead of treating him by buying him things he normally buys you, which would possibly seem to him like you’re taking his role away from him, spend your money on something that is a treat for him, but isn’t something that is taking away from his domain. In other words, get him great seats to a sporting even that he loves, or buy him a gorgeous cashmere blazer or have his car detailed or re-installed with a fabulous sound system as a surprise. This is a lot better than taking on his role, regardless of your intention. 😉

I hope that helps. Please follow me @AskAprilcom.

    This is really sweet ❤️
You just want to make your boyfriend feel special, the same way he makes you feel special.

The simple truth is: it’s okay to give back. Just do it in a way that still feels like him being him. You’re not trying to “be the man,” you’re just saying thank you.

As AskApril explains, the best gifts are things he would enjoy, not things that replace what he already loves doing for you. A fun trip, a surprise he likes, or something just for him will make him feel happy and proud — not uncomfortable.

So yes, treat him, enjoy it, and don’t overthink it. Love is about giving, not keeping score.
