Ralph has been my boyfriend for 7 months. I know he’s loyal to me, and even when we’re not together, I trust that he doesn’t do anything wrong or anything that would upset me. He’s a basketball player at our campus, and he’s really good at it because he’s always the MVP during games. I’m very proud to be his girlfriend, but I can’t help noticing that there are girls who approach him and talk to him. I feel jealous whenever I see him talking to other girls. Maybe I’m afraid that someone might steal him from me, or that he might become attracted to another girl and leave me. I don’t know how to control my emotions.

Try not to overthink. Talk to your boyfriend and set boundaries that make you feel comfortable so you can avoid feeling jealous. It’s normal to feel that way, but you also need to accept that your boyfriend is popular, and it’s unavoidable that other girls will approach him.

That’s part of being the girlfriend of a well-known player on campus, especially since he’s always an MVP—he’s really going to get a lot of attention from other girls.
As long as your boyfriend has proper boundaries with his fans, I don’t think he’ll be taken away from you. Feeling jealous is normal; it’s part of human emotions. Just choose which jealous feelings are worth paying attention to. If it’s something small or baseless, try to set it aside. But if you feel like there’s really a valid reason to be jealous, then talk to your boyfriend about it and communicate with each other.

You yourself said she is very loyal to you, so you really don’t have anything to worry about. It might actually be your overthinking and jealousy that could end up pushing her away, even when there’s nothing wrong.
