I’m confused. I made a comment,or asked a question of my boyfriend that offended him. I only know it offended him because of the silent treatment I was given.The thing is, I know that he puts people on “time outs” when he’s mad at them.If he’s really mad,he just lets them go completely.
He SAID that he wasn’t mad,but He will not respond to me. I apologized to him while I was still present with him,and also sent him a very apologetic email. A couple days after that I called, got voice mail,so I left another apologetic,but short message,and asked him to call me when he can.
Its been a week with no contact. I had been wondering if this was his kind of break up, or if he actually put me on a time out. I’m confused because he is usually talking about how important communication is,and how things are not always going to be good,and that even with the bad times, its important to talk things through. I’m trying to give him some space,and I don’t want to keep calling to apologize over and over,especially if he doesn’t answer. How do I handle this?
