My ex-boyfriend broke up with me because he thought I would be “better off without him”
About 2 months after we broke up, I started going out with another guy.
A few weeks ago, I saw my ex-boyfriend for the first time since we broke up. We talked about what happened and he told me he loved me and knew he made the wrong choice to leave me. He hooked up. Twice.
I still love my ex so I don’t know what to do. My current boyfriend treats me like a prnicess and I feel horrible. He has no idea what happened.
My ex-boyfriend wants to get back together and he swore on his life that he would never leave me like that again.
I’m so lost and confused 🙁 Help!

It would help to know how old you all are. It would also help to know how long you had dated your ex-boyfriend before you broke up. As you’ve written it, and with my doing some guess work, it sounds like your ex-boyfriend is impulsive and jumped the gun by breaking up with you. It would also help to know why he broke up with you. “Swearing on his life” that he won’t break up with you again is one way to try and get you back, but you should be looking for a change in his behavior instead of a vow.
