    Hi April!
I have been seeing a guy for 2 months. He’s really great and I like him. However, he said that he does not want to commit (he was in a long-term relationship with a girl who cheated on him twice. They broke up half a year ago). He said that he wants his own space and is unable and does not want to have a relationship. At first, I was a bit disappointed when he told me. But he says he really likes and we still continue seeing each other (however, I’m making sure that I’m keeping my options open with other guys).

I am incredibly attracted to this guy and I always fantasize about him all the time. We have not slept together but I want to, not because I’m hoping that he might get serious with me, but because I am sexually frustrated (I haven’t had sex in 3 months and it’s killing me).

The thing is that I acted a bit distant when he said that he didn’t want to commit, the reason being because I was trying to figure out what I wanted. Now, I really want to sleep with him. How do I go about being “warm” to him again? Should I be direct and tell him that I want to sleep with him? Or should I be subtly and warm up to him by sending sexy texts?

    Thanks!

If all you want is sex — you can let him know by flirting with him. But don’t expect to leverage that sex into an emotional relationship. Women make this mistake often, and then come to me for advice because they slept with a guy who said he didn’t want a relationship, thinking that they’d change his mind. When they don’t, they’re invested and heartbroken.

So if you’re just looking for sex, flirting with him or even flat out telling him, will probably get you sex — but it won’t get you a relationship, so be careful what you ask for. 😉 If you want a relationship, I’d never recommend you telling him flat out that you want sex — but since you’re saying you only want sex, you can sort of broker the deal by offering it to him. Men usually have sex because you’re willing and they’re ready, so you shouldn’t have a hard time. 😕

If you want to sleep with him to the purpose of having sex only, it’s like friends with benefits. But are you really sure that is just your looking for? No regret if it will happen?
So, if you just want sex with him, then flirt with him, talk more about sexiest topic.
