Hello everyone. You can call me Rochelle and my boyfriend Felix.

Felix and I met on a dating app when I was still a graduating student. We got along on almost everything, and our relationship quickly became serious rather than just a casual fling. I introduced him to my family and friends, and they would often tease me, saying I was lucky because Felix was handsome and wealthy and that I should never let him go. Our relationship lasted for two years.
After graduating, I got an office job. (I won’t mention where for privacy reasons.) The work environment was great, and I quickly became close with my coworkers. Over time, we formed a solid group of friends. There were five of us and almost everyone had a partner except for one person.
That person was Naya. She said she was NBSB (No Boyfriend Since Birth). She would often joke that she was always the third wheel whenever we talked about our partners. Because of that, we encouraged her to try using a dating app.
A few days later, she agreed. She was very open with us about the people she matched with and talked to. She would even show us their conversations and ask for advice on whether she should continue talking to them.
One day after work, she invited us out for coffee because she wanted to tell us about a new guy she had matched with on a dating app. It was obvious how happy she was and how well they were getting along. Then she showed us their conversation.
The moment I saw it, my entire body went cold.
I was completely speechless because the person she was talking to on the dating app was my boyfriend.
If you’re wondering whether my coworkers knew my boyfriend, they didn’t. Felix didn’t want my coworkers, or anyone outside of my family and close friends, to know that he was my boyfriend. Out of respect for his wishes, I never told Naya about him. They knew I had a boyfriend but I only told them that he was a very private person who preferred a low-key relationship since we had met on a dating app.
I thought he had deleted the app once our relationship became serious. But it turned out he was still active on it, and it felt like fate was playing a cruel joke on me because out of all the people on the app, he ended up matching with my coworker.
I forced myself to smile while Naya happily talked about her conversations with Felix. But deep inside, it hurt so much to hear that the things he used to do for me when we were just starting out were the same things he was now doing for her.
After finding out that Felix had been deceiving me, I didn’t confront him. I also couldn’t bring myself to talk to him because I’m not the type of person who likes confrontation and I knew I would end up crying.
I didn’t tell my family, my friends, my coworkers or even Naya because I could see how happy she was talking to Felix.

So how am I supposed to tell Naya that the first man she thinks could become her boyfriend is actually my boyfriend?
