Hi April,

I joined a dating site a few months ago and met a really great guy on it. He originally told me he was 18 (I am 19), then a few days ago he told me he was afraid if he didn’t tell me he was 18 I wouldn’t talk to him. He’s really 17. When we started talking he was really persistent to get me to actively talk to him. We’ve been texting for one month and finally met one week ago. I am in serious like with this guy, but am not sure what to do about his age. My little brother is 16 and I don’t know how he or my parents would react if I start dating this guy. I’ve always judged others for having a relationship like this and told this guy maybe we can try a relationship when he’s 18.

My question is: what should i do?

Let’s cut to the chase. He’s not legal. He’s still in high school. Don’t get yourself into any hot water you shouldn’t be in. It’s not worth the hassle. Stop seeing him and only date guys that are “of age”. 😉
