It sounds to me like you’ve treaded on some insecurity of hers, and for whatever reason that particular moment was kind of a perfect storm for her to flip her lid. Could be body issues, a feminist thing, a commitment thing…more likely than not she didn’t think she’s worthy of this kind of praise and needed a roundabout way to lash out at you for BSing her. One thing is for sure, words like “weird” and “creepy” are just euphemisms for something else she doesn’t want to say.
