Ok, so me and my ex are still talking. He’s actually even called me a couple times. I ran into him at the gas station and he was just getting off work, so he was with some co-workers and he started conversation with me and before I left he told me to stop being stuck up ( he was joking) and get a hold of him sometime. That same day, I didn’t try talking to him or anything and he ended up texting me later that night. He asked what I was doing and I did the same. He told me he was having a couple beers and working on trucks at his dads shop. I said it sounds fun and he told me to come and have a couple with him, but I never did. Then last weekend, he went on a snowboarding trip and last thursday night, he called me and told me all about it. I let him do most of the talking and he kept bringing up that I was too cool for him because I never talk to him, because I do only talk to him if he talks to me first. I didnt say much to him when I saw him at the gas station, so he also brought up that I only said a few words and how he had to start the conversation, so then again he told me I was beeing “too cool”. He then asked what I was doing Friday night and that he was having a bonfire and wanted me to come out there. I ended up going out there and he did talk to me but there was this other girl that seemed to have some of his attention also. It kinda made me upset though because he kept texting me to see if I was coming throughout the night before I arrived as if he really wanted me to come out and see me, but then hes talking to this other girl half the night. Then just this weekend, we had our cities annual running of the green, where you go from bar to bar on st. pattys day and whenever he saw me he would be nice enough, drunk or not drunk, to come talk to me for a bit. A few times I wouldn’t even notice him and he would come up to me as if he didn’t mind talking to me. Then a day after, he asked how the rest of my night went. It’s just weird to me because when he started talking to me the first time a couple months after we broke up, he didn’t even bring up anything about us hanging out except for when he was drunk, but now he’s actually calling me and wanting me to come out and stuff when hes sober. And when we dated, I would rollerblade and he would come ride bike with me and when he called me on thursday, he asked what I’ve been up to. I told him I’ve been rollerblading and he said that he was on his snowboarding trip, other wise he would have come and rode bike with me. I know hes probably just talking to me just to see if I’ll respond or something stupid like that, but he knows alot of people and he is friends with alot of his exes. Why out of everybody he could talk to, he chooses to talk to me? It seems like it’s almost everyday and it’s during the day so I know he hasn’t been drinking or anything. When he does text me though we only talk for a bit. I know I should probably not respond everytime he tries talking to me, but its nice to know that he still thinks about me because I was sure he was done talking all together after the first time he started talking to me. We went maybe 4 months without talking, so I was surprised when he started talking to me again. I kinda think hes just trying to mess with my head but then again hes always taking to me. So since hes being civil or whatever, I want to be nice and talk to him. Again like you said I should stop responding to him but its just nice to talk to him sometimes. Whats his deal?
