Unfortunately things aren’t looking any better across the pond either. I too have lost my job after 10 years of service in the automotive industry in England, so I know how sad she’s feeling right now. Actually it’s a mix of feelings, from shock, anger, lost and sadness. I kinda lost my bearings – not knowing which direction I should turn.
My family and friends have been really supportive. Just generally talking to me about things in general helps alot, it doesn’t always need to be about work (or lack of) either. By convincing myself that I’m not alone and there are plenty of other people in the same boat as me, certainly helps. Your sister will survive and find something (even if it’s temporary to keep the money coming in) 😉
