judy706Member #92After 15 years on the job my sister was let go (due to downsizing… she worked for an auto parts supplier here in Michigan). As you can imagine she is devastated! what can I do to comfort/help her?

SmokeyMember #1,547Judy, Unfortunately things aren’t looking any better across the pond either. I too have lost my job after 10 years of service in the automotive industry in England, so I know how sad she’s feeling right now. Actually it’s a mix of feelings, from shock, anger, lost and sadness. I kinda lost my bearings – not knowing which direction I should turn.
My family and friends have been really supportive. Just generally talking to me about things in general helps alot, it doesn’t always need to be about work (or lack of) either. By convincing myself that I’m not alone and there are plenty of other people in the same boat as me, certainly helps. Your sister will survive and find something (even if it’s temporary to keep the money coming in)
😉 Good luck,
Smokey.

relationMember #2,408I think the best way out is that: Firstly u need to comfort her down and restore her belief in God, whatever God does he does it for the GOOD. Secondly it will be good if you can explore some work options for her (job or small business).
Finally always remember, when God closes one door of Opportunity he opens the second, dont concentrate too much on the first one that u miss seeing the second opened door… God Bless U…
