Why does she send me a blank message ?

    I broke up with my girl friend in 2005 and I did chat a couple of times after that. She is married to another man with a baby.

    She told me we can still be friends.

    I wrote to her a few months back and told her I do not wish to hang around too much and that I will write to her once in five years. She replied a few days back to the message. The message was blank except what I had originally sent her.

    She seems to have stored the message somewhere all these months. Why did she send me a blank reply ?

    Does she still want me well just as a friend ? I’m not after her anymore but I would like to understand a womans mind.

    From what you’ve written it sounds like your ex-girlfriend has moved on in her life, is happy and settled, and would like to be friendly with you. While it’s fine for her to want that it doesn’t mean you have to go along with it. If you’re at all harboring feelings for her, staying friendly probably isn’t a great idea. If you run into her, naturally, crossing paths in the supermarket or at a neighborhood function, then it’s good manners to be friendly, but staying in touch with ex-girlfriends can often lead to unsettled feelings at best.

    My advice is not to think too much about the response she sent you (the blank e-mail) and just move on with your own life.
