c0nfusedMember #145,328Ok so recently I’ve noticed my little sisters bestfriend a lot more. She’s in her last year of school & I’m 21, I’m expecting all the “find a girl your age people” but that’s part of the point I’m making. I’ve known her for the last 3/4 yrs & everyone has always said that we get on really well, we share similiar humour and just generally enjoy eachothers company. Some people have even joked that in the future we’d end up getting together, so if in the future something was to happen how would we be able to make my sis feel like she hasn’t been betrade? April 5, 2012 at 7:27 pm #22584First of all, wait until she’s of legal age to date her. 😉 Second of all, talk to your sister before you ask her out. I’m sure your sister knows you like her, but it’s probably a good idea to give her a head’s up. You don’t have to ask permission, but it’s a nice show of respect to let her know you’re going to ask her friend out and you hope it won’t get too weird between you all.
I hope that helps! Let me know how it goes, and please follow me @AskAprilcom on Twitter and on Facebook at this link:

c0nfusedMember #145,328Well I’m from the UK so technically she’s legal now 😉 but I’m in no rush to move things along. I’ve got too much going on at the moment with work & stuff & I want her to do well with exams. I was just wondering how best to treat the sitution if/when it arises reallyApril 6, 2012 at 12:34 pm #22911Oh, okay! Then definitely wait until she’s done with her exams, and if you want to date her, you can show your sister a little respect by talking to her first, and
then asking her friend out. Be prepared for a little bit of a bumpy ride — whenever there’s a trio of any kind there’s room for competition, feeling left out, etc. But that doesn’t mean it won’t be smooth sailing, either.Good luck!
