A friend of mine recently set me up with a girl that’s friend’s with her cousin, essentially it was a blind date. I got her number and messaged her the next day. Kept the texting to a minimum and scheduled a date a couple days later.
Right away the conversation was easy, we made each other laugh, there was some physical interaction on the date, all in all it went really well. After the putt putt we walked down to a coffee shop nearby and talked for 45 minutes or so to get to know each other better. I had dance lessons that night so I walked her to her car and gave her a hug goodbye.
Everything was going good from my side so I texted her the next day to setup the second date, she appeared excited for it. I’m not much of a texter so I didn’t chat with her too much leading up to the day but confirmed day of and we planned it out. I had just left my house to pick her up and she texts me that her family is going through a lot right now and her parents just came home with some bad news and had to cancel. She offered to phone and explain but I told her if it’s personal she doesn’t have to explain herself to me and not to worry about it.
At first I thought I got flaked on, then I heard from the grapevine that she took that week off school and was having a tough time. I waited a few days after we were supposed to meet up and offered my sympathies for her situation and mentioned I was on days off for the next little bit if she wants to get her mind off things. She said thanks but that she was a mess.
I haven’t messaged her since then and it’s been 4 days. How should I proceed with this?
