Whatever his reasons, it’s not healthy for you to stay there. You deserve a man that wants to commit to you and only you. He’s just avoiding the loneliness of a break up by still hanging out with you. In other words he’s using you. MOVE ON!

Of course he’s allowed to do this! 😯 The question is…..why are you in a relationship that isn’t going anywhere? 😕 He’s a grown man who lives with his parents and isn’t financially ready to commit. 🙁 That alone should be enough for you to know he’s not serious about a relationship. However, he’s even given you the neon sign: he actually told you he isn’t ready, and yet — you still continue to ignore him — and now you’re blaming and questioning him for his behavior 😮 , when instead you should look in the mirror and ask yourself why you’re so involved with a man who isn’t going to commit to you.

Decide what you want in your life. If it’s a relationship with a man, this one isn’t on the same page with you. Unless you change your own behavior, he won’t change his.

I hope that helps. Please follow me @AskAprilcom on Twitter. 😀

Yes, he can do that, but the question is: why are you in a relationship that doesn’t seem to be going anywhere? He is already an adult, but he still lives with his parents and is not yet financially ready to commit. It’s also clear that he is not really ready.

You need to decide what you really want in your life. As long as you don’t walk away from that situation, you won’t be able to find a more serious and committed relationship.
