AnonymousInactiveI have had at least 2 relationships but they’ve both ended..well not so good. I’ve been kinda in a rut for meeting men because I don’t go to bars and what not, so I’ve been dabbling in online sites, here and there.
I actually was lucky enough to meet someone the other day who lives in my area and basically met him that day because he was near where I lived. He seems nice enough and I’m meeting him again tomorrow at his house to get to know each other a little more..things is I’m kinda nervous that we might be doing a little more than just the emotional part.I’m all for it being physical but I’m not going all the way, cause that’s just not how I work. So now comes what I think is hard, I still live with my parents, because I’m still earning the money for my own place. Now the both of them are hesitant on online dating because of the obvious reasons. My mom would be sorta okay, but my dad..well he wouldn’t like it at all. Even if they did finally accept it I would be teased endlessly.
I am legally an adult now, and I’m debating on whether or not I should tell them or not How would I go about doing that? Should I tell them at all?

AnonymousMember #382,293Apart from the issue of what, if anything, to tell your parents, I strongly suggest that you not meet someone you’ve met online — and only met in person once — at his house for awhile, until you get to know him better. 🙁 Meet somewhere public — like a restaurant until you feel comfortable. If you are not ready to be “physical” don’t send the message that you are by meetingat his house .😕 January 9, 2016 at 9:20 pm #31536Great advice! - MemberPosts
