You’re 51 and he’s 46 and you’ve been together for nine years — and you’re both addicts who use some type of substance together. I don’t know if you’re in love with each other. You probably have feelings for each other, and you have this addiction in common. Typically, addicts are committed to their relationship with a substance first and foremost. Everyone else takes a back seat to that relationship. But since you both have this matching lifestyle baggage, you may be well suited for each other. Only you can know your feelings. 😉
