Just curious if I’m being overly worried or do I just expect respect?

When it comes to dating and relationships.. What is your view on the other person going to lunch or dinner with a coworker or friend of the opposite sex? Is it something that should be accepted now? Does it make the gf/bf a crazy controlling person if they get upset about it? How do you even approach taking about this type of situation with someone you newly started dating. Help please.
