Hi, I have an ex-boyfriend named Adrian and a best friend named Eunice.
When Adrian and I broke up, Eunice was the first person I told. She listened to me, comforted me and stayed by my side while I was dealing with the heartbreak. Because she was my best friend, I trusted her completely.
A few weeks later, I noticed that Adrian was still trying to access my account. Since he was already blocked, I decided to log into his account so I could leave him a message telling him to stop checking mine.
When I opened his account, I accidentally saw his most recent conversation. The last message was from Eunice and it said, “Okay, take care.” What caught my attention even more was that she called him “love.”
The moment I saw that message, I immediately understood that something was going on between them. It suddenly made sense and I couldn’t stop thinking about how close they might have become after my breakup.
Even though I was shocked and hurt by what I discovered, I never told either of them that I knew. I kept everything to myself and acted as if nothing had happened.
Now I’m carrying this secret alone. Part of me wants answers, while another part of me wonders if knowing the truth would only hurt me even more.
Should I confront my ex-boyfriend and my best friend after discovering their relationship, or should I stay silent and move on?
