I’m a 39 ear old guy in Dublin, IE and fancy 2 women. First woman is 46 years old and lives in London and we have known each other for just over a month now. I have sent her flowers and 2 gifts. The second woman is 39 and lives in Cork, IE and Ive known her for 2 weeks. I have to met both women in person yet. But I talk regularly to both on the phone and on skype. I worry if I date the older lady my mam and rest of my family mightn’t approve due to age difference. What should I do as I’m meeting the older lady in 2 weeks in London for the day?

You don’t have to tell your family about a first date. Or a second date. Or a third date. Or a fourth date. Meet the woman in London and see if you like her enough to go on a second date. If you don’t, then your family’s opinions won’t even come into consideration. If you do, then see how the third and fourth dates go before you even mention her to your family. In other words…You’re jumping the gun by worrying what your family thinks before you’ve even had a few dates. 🙂

That said, at age 39, you should decide who makes you happy and what kind of relationship works for you. 😉 I don’t think that a 7 year age gap is a big deal — unless you want children with a wife, and if so, then her age of 46, is probably a consideration. You should really figure that out before you start dating anyone. 😉 That way you won’t get invested in someone who can’t have kids when that’s important to you.

    I hope that helps!
