When a guy says, “I’m building my brand so I can’t commit,” what he really means is, “I want to meet new people in a new city, and I don’t want to be your fiancé right now.” The truth is, if a man really wants to, career and love can go hand in hand. Michael is saying, “I love you,” but his actions are clearly saying that he wants to be “single” in California. “Ask April” always advises paying attention to a man’s actions, not his words.

Oh friend, there’s really no need to stress over this! If he takes three hours to reply, you take a full six hours to get back to him. Let him think you’re super busy and that you have a thousand other things to do besides waiting for his text.
And in my opinion, show up to Homecoming with such a massive ‘glow up’ that he deeply regrets those late replies. He should feel like he’s won the lottery, and that you did him a huge favour just by saying ‘yes’ to a sophomore!
