he doesnt know it hurts

me and my boyfriend have been together for a year now and i love him so much. i lost my virginity to him and he lost his to me. things were great when we first got together and they still are. we still communicate and we still have fun together but when he is with his friends he ignores me and i know he needs time with his friends but i dont like him ignoring me and when we are together and i talk to my friends he says im ignoring him and yet he talks to his all the time and when i talk to him about it he says he is sorry and it wont happen again but then it does. when he says he will or will not do something he does the opposite. i am his first girlfriend. he says he is just used to doing that cause hes done it all his life but we have been together for a year now so isn’t that a lame excuse? how do i know i can trust him if he keeps lieing? how do i go about talking to him about it? how do i get him to change? HELP!!!
