Okay, so, to start everything off, my crush calls me “Kamisama” as a nickname. If you don’t know, Kamisama means God in Japanese. Yes, he calls me God every day. It’s really flattering, actually, so I’m happy about that.
Moving onto the important stuff, I’ve got the biggest crush on him. Of course, being as prideful as I am, I won’t admit it. But… I told him I’d tell him who I liked when grad came around. And unfortunately, grad is only two weeks away… I’m paranoid as f**k.
My usual day with him consists of us talking about random things, and then “booping” each other on the head. What booping is, is basically tapping someone on the head, and then saying “boop” It’s stupid, I know, but it’s kind of like my way of flirting. Awkward and stupid.
Sometimes, he’ll get all serious. It’s kind of weird, since he usually says the craziest things, like, “Is your cat blue?” and “How does toast work?” I swear, I would think he was a maniac if I didn’t know him!
We also tend to compliment each other. Unlike my other guy friends, he notices more about me. He’s mentioned my hair, and a ring I’ve been wearing for the week (which was a gift from my aunt). I remember him saying, “Hey, (aforementioned crush’s best friend’s name)! Kamisama is wearing a ring!” Most people I talked to didn’t even notice it, and he—besides my female friends—noticed it, on the day I started wearing it. But, when I compliment him, I keep it more subtle.
He’s in air cadets, so he has to get his hair cut short. He told me the day he was getting it cut, and I was so, so sad. I loved his hair long! Well, it wasn’t unnaturally long, but it was pretty long, nonetheless. So, he asked me on my preference. I told him to keep as much hair as possible. And, now a month or two after that ordeal, I said, “I wish your hair was longer again, (crush’s name).” And he said, “Yeah, I know. But don’t worry, by the time we go to AnimeRevo, it’ll be down to here.”
There was another compliment he gave me that actually brightened my mood a lot. Since he’s an anime geek (like myself, except he’s more experienced), he got a Naruto headband. He doesn’t really let people try it on, unless they have nice enough hair for it (i.e. must have bangs). So, he told me to try it on, since I have side bangs, even though they’re pretty short. I put it on, and it felt weird. But, as I was about to take it off, he says, “Hey, it looks good on you!” We talked, and then went back inside with my friends to class.
So, if anything, I’m just wondering where I should go with this relationship. Should I say I like him at grad, or should I just stick with my lonely self?
