Hello and thank you for answering my question. So I have this female friend who occasionally tells me that she is grateful that she has gotten to know me better and that she is glad we have become close friends. She tells me that I’m one of the best people she has ever met and that she wouldn’t trade me for the world. She even bought my mom roses and a cake for her birthday and has given me small gifts. After all of this I feel like she is embarrassed by me. She introduces me as her coworker even though we don’t work together. I met her mom yesterday and introduced me as, “This is (my name) we used to work together but not anymore, I don’t know.” We are not alike and come from different worlds. I am a little overweight and she is not at all. Could she be embarrassed by me?
