So there’s this boy in my math class, and we used to sit next to each other all the time, though we wouldn’t talk much. But because of that, now everybody in our class teases the two of us about each other every once in a while. Maybe writing our names in a heart on the whiteboard, or going “oh, do you want to switch seats so you two can sit together?” But it’s not serious teasing; I have a lot of friends in that class but they never talk to me about him outside of the occasional joking during math class.
Though the guy’s friend teases us the most. But the thing is, sometimes I can’t tell if he is teasing me or teasing him. He’ll say things to me like “Don’t get lost in [boy’s name]’s eyes!” and “Psst, y’know he’s over there.” I usually respond with simple sarcastic remarks such as “haha, good one.”
I know that some guys tease their friends about their crushes. But I am sort of friends with him too, so is it possible that he thinks I’m the one that likes the guy in math class, and not him liking me? Or do guys tease their friends’ crushes too?
Also, ever since our class really started teasing us, he’s stopped sitting next to me. So does this mean he doesn’t like me?
Just wondering. Maybe I’m just reading too much into this. Because ever since this started, I’ve been trying to figure out if he likes me or not, but in the process I feel as if I’m starting to like him too. But if he actually doesn’t like me, then it’ll be easier for me to stop liking him.
Sorry, it’s a little confusing. Thank you!
