NextStepMember #196,462I’m not sure what would be the best decision for me. Me and my ex-girlfriend broke up a year ago and now I am dating her best friend, but I still have the strongest feelings for my ex. I am not sure exactly what should be done.
November 14, 2012 at 1:07 pm #23889Why did you break up? How long have you been dating her best friend? Is your ex dating anyone else? How old are you? November 14, 2012 at 5:22 pm #23129
NextStepMember #196,462She said I didn’t show that I cared. It has been two months. My ex is not dating anyone else. I am young (16) but I just wanted to see if I can get some actual advice cause all of my friends say that my ex is not right for me and I need to move on but I need a better response than that, I am not saying that I want them to say a certain thing but I just want something helpful. November 14, 2012 at 6:29 pm #23968I think you mean that your ex broke up with you because you didn’t show you cared about her, and that it’s been two months since the break up, and you started dating her best friend immediately after the break up. Is that right?

NextStepMember #196,462No, sorry let me elaborate. Me and my ex broke up last year. I have been dating her best friend for two months now. November 14, 2012 at 7:47 pm #24096It sounds like you broke up with your ex a year ago, and ten months later you began to date her best friend — perhaps because she reminds you of your ex…. 😕 Whether or not you break up with your current girlfriend, your ex may or may not want to date you. So you have to decide if it’s worth the risk or not. If you’re willing to lose the current relationship with your girlfriend for the chance that you may be able to win your ex over again, then you should. But understand that it’s a risk.😉 November 14, 2012 at 8:16 pm #24295
NextStepMember #196,462That does make a lot of sense I definitely have some serious thinking to do. I know I am young but I still really feel for my ex whether it is love or not regardless I cannot stop thinking about her so that is why I ask. But thank you so much for the advice it is much better than the advice my friends give me! Thank You!! November 15, 2012 at 12:07 pm #23036You’re very welcome. 😀 [b]Everyone likes to be liked! NextStepMember #196,462Hello April, I have an update, I made a decision and I showed my ex a letter I had wrote a few weeks ago that I wasn’t panning to send to her. Once she read it she told me she loves me and we are talking of getting back together. She is not 100% positive because she is scared because she feels as though people will hate her because I am going back to her from my current girlfriend. 1st off how do i convince her everything will be alright. 2nd how do i break it to my girlfriend?
November 18, 2012 at 2:45 pm #25241
1st off how do i convince her everything will be alright.
You don’t. The reasons are: You really can’t insure that everything will be all right. Relationships involve risk, and you’ve already broken up once, so there’s a chance that a reunion may or may not work. Don’t make promises you can’t keep!
😉 Second, it’s not your job to convince her that everything will be all right. It’s her decision to make.
2nd how do i break it to my girlfriend?
Breaking up is never easy, and this is going to be particularly tricky because you’re going to be dating her best friend. Again. My advice is to do it face to face, make it short and sweet, like ripping off a band aid quickly. Expect hurt. And understand why you’re doing it, so you’re clear when you do break up with your girlfriend.
