So this guy and I have been friends since our freshman year of college. We are now seniors and both single, and things have gotten complicated. We are stuck in the undefined relationship where we are friends, but sometimes more than friends (cuddling, sex, etc). We are scared to date because we are about to graduate and that means going long distance. If we break up, we would lose our friendship. Undefined is complicated, and going back to being friends is difficult and upsetting. What do we do?

There’s a lot going on, emotionally, for college seniors. You may be graduating in May and going off to grad school, or jobs in different parts of the country, or back home to live with parents while you look for a job. That’s going to determine whether your relationship is long distance or in town, and once that gets determined, I think you have to wait and see if he’s interested in dating you or not. Or, you can decide to stay together and make your next grad school or job moves together.
