Several months ago I started to develop feelings for a co worker. At first I thought this was just because of relationship issues at home, but as time went on, I realized these were serious feelings. We have so much in common it’s almost scary, and I have this feeling that he has some of these feelings for me also. Problem is, we’re both involved with other people, my relationship being pretty stagnant at this point, mainly just staying together for convenience and financial reasons. I feel I am too young (24) to be trapped like this.. He has a live in girlfriend…I don’t know much else.. I’ve tried to strike up conversations as much as possible, and if he hasn’t taken then hint yet, he must be blind. It’s never gone past conversations of similar interests, and I’m not sure how to take it to the next level. What should I do, if anything? Thank you.

I think you’re avoiding your real problem. 😮 You’re 24 years old and feeling trapped in a relationship, but instead of addressing that primary problem, you’re looking for distractions. You said that you’re trapped because of convenience, which is really just laziness, and finances. Well, if those are the reasons you’re feeling so trapped, then you’re right! 😉 You are too young to feel trapped when you don’t have to be! Decide to either make things better in your live in relationship, or else break up and move out. If you’re 24 and single, there’s no reason you can’t get a better job or a second job or roommates — there are lots of ways to cut your expenses and boost your income! Harness your energy and focus on your real problem, then fix it. 😀
