I am in dire need for some help. I was in a relationship with a guy for three during which he cheated on me the first year of the relationship and I forgave him. Well, the second year of that relationship, I decided to further my studies overseas. The first year into my studies, he got a serious accident/mishap and when i returned to visit him, i found out about his two other women. I was hurt but i decided that I will still try to be there for him. He was even living with one of his women and no one said anything about it but yet they(family) and I were in constant communication. With all the drama from his family and him, I ended the relationship.

I broke all communication with him and his family over three years now. Now he found himself incarcerated for some ” serious shit”, I received a call from him yesterday, saying that I gave up on him etc. Do you think if he calls back I should even speak to him? All my friends are saying I should but am just confuse about this situation.

I have moved on since then but in a dead end relationship. I am seeing this married man now for little over a year. I know in the eyes of God that its not right, but can I say that I love him so much. When I met him, I knew that he was married but I told myself that I just want a fling nothing else, now he is all that I want. I know he has feelings for me but I cant say that it is love. He treats me well in every possible way but I know it is wrong.

He is a good man but everyone has flaws. When I met him he wasn’t happy because of his wife’s bossy ways etc. but he loves his two kids. He never pretended to me that he will leave her for me, he explained the whole scenario to me. I told him to seek counselling she was reluctant at first but they did. So their marriage is in a better place, but am hook up on him. He is there to support everything that I do. However, he told me that marriage changes everything especially where collateral is involved. My happiest days are my days spent with him, he is like my best friend.

Help me make the best decision please.

Until you start treating yourself as a valuable human being, no one else will. 😳 The answer to your first question about whether or not you should speak to your ex at all is, No. He cheated on you many times and broke the law, was incarcerated, and says YOU gave up on him….The truth is he gave up on himself by behaving as he did. You chose to move on. Run, don’t walk. Change your number if your have to. Any friends who are encouraging you to talk to him aren’t good friends with your best interests at heart. 😳

As for the married father you’re seeing, what’s the question you have about this relationship?
