Hello, I would like some expert advice on relationships. I’m having difficulty understanding if the guy I like is interested in me in an emotional way; the downer, he has a girlfriend. His girlfriend lives in a different town and attends college. Him and I still go to high school, we’re both juniors and we have one class together. (In the class we’re set up in groups of 4). We’ve known each other about a month and I have asked him if he likes me or not and he has admitted to liking me more than a friend. He even confessed, in his own words: “I think you’re…astounding.” Yet, he claims to love his girlfriend and that he won’t cheat on her, ect. Well, before anything became heated, he sat across the table of our group. Now, just a couple of weeks ago when the person who sat beside me was absent for a few days, he decided to sit next to me. He sat really close to me. The next week, he asked the person who had been absent if he could sit where she was sitting and she let him sit beside me. He still sits beside me in class ever since. He’ll mess with me sometimes like stealing my cell phone and putting it in his pockets. (He’s the kind of person who likes to joke around and laugh). Then, he’ll sometimes poke me in my breast with his pencil or finger and grabbing my sides (which tickle me and make me jump). Just recently, he confided that his grandfather was airlifted to the hospital because he had a heart attack. He even explained the story to me. This was the first time I ever seen him not laugh, smile or joke about something. When I told him I wanted to give him a hug, he said,” I want you to, too.” It was a long hug. Then, the next day, he tells me he visited his grandfather and how he’ll be in the hospital a few weeks. He sits close to me when it’s time to watch a movie in the class. When it’s time to go, he even waits for me while I say bye to my friends! He never did that before. Before he catches the bus, he tells me when he’ll be working, and we hug goodbye.
I would just like to know if I’m being lead on since he talks to me and touches me inappropriate sometimes, and if I could have a chance of stealing him away from his girlfriend.
