3 weeks ago my boyfriend of 6 months broke up with me. He said he likes me but something was missing for him. We had actually broken up once before about a month prior for the same reason. After a week he contacted me and we decided to try again. We live about 45 minutes away from each other, he works full time, goes to school and has a son. So we agreed to try again and spend more time together and go out and do things instead of just stay home and watch movies. This last time when we broke up he said he cares about me too much to keep doing this to me. Since then we have both reactivated our online dating accounts (which is how we met). He was online constantly at first but now he’s only on a couple times a day. He texts me every couple of days to see how I’m doing. Every time he does he also asks if I’ve been on any dates. Do you think he misses me and wants to get back together and is scared to make the first move?

    No.

I think that he may be lonely, and he miss parts of you and parts of the relationship, but not enough to get back together. Break ups are difficult — and when both people are friendly, it’s even more difficult to move on. Clearly, things didn’t work out between the two of you because you’ve broken up twice in six months, and the reason for the break ups is that your boyfriend just isn’t that into you. 😳 Instead of trying to make something work that clearly doesn’t, my advice is that you move on and find someone who’s crazy about you! 😉 The break ups are a real gift to you so that you don’t waste time with someone who isn’t that into you. Let go, stop the contact and just move on.
