Dear April, I am unhappy with my boyfriend but I still can’t leave him. I am unhappy because he always says things that hurt my feelings and he doesn’t care.he is very controlling he will get upset when I am talking to any other guy but him he says that I need to get rid of all my guyfriends that I only need him and when I do talk to a guy he will ignore me and give me evil looks and then he will confront me and say that if it happens again he won’t talk to me for a week he says that I need to know when I do something wrong. My boyfriend has also became friends with all my friends and he will always ask my friends information about me like what I am saying about him and he will tell them that I make him feel important I have got to where I can’t even trust my friends because they will tell him everything.he will also embarass me in front of my friends by telling them that I am not smart and that if I was smart that I wouldn’t be as attractive and he has told me alot of times that I am stupid and that I do stupid things. And sometimes when He is mad he will cuss me out and make me feel really bad. And he will threaten me and say that I won’t see him for a long time. What really hurt my feelings was when I asked him to take me on a date because he never does and he said I’ll take you but I am only paying for myself and he said he is used to girls paying for him. My boyfriend says he cares though and sometimes he is really sweet but other times it seems like he takes me for granted . So what should I do? Is it even worth it to stay in the relationship? Because I find myself. Crying all the time now. Please help.

No, it’s not worth it to stay. He sounds like a loser. Any boyfriend who makes you pay for your half of the date, curses you out and makes you cry daily is Mr. Wrong.

Get my book, Think & Date Like A Man, and read it, then go out there and find a NICE guy who is happy about himself and his relationship — with you!! Here’s the link where you can buy the book: https://www.askapril.com/relationship-dating-advice/think-and-date-like-a-man.html, or you can get it at Amazon.com or on the website for Barnes & Noble.

See you on Facebook! Here’s that link: , and follow me @AskAprilcom on Twitter!
